Brazil records 166 deaths and more than 22 thousand cases of Covid in 24 hours

Brazil recorded 166 deaths and 22,724 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to an update from the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass), held this Tuesday (12).

The moving average of deaths is 138 – the lowest number since January 13, when the index was 129.

The moving average of cases is 20,543.

The indices consider the average number of infections and deaths recorded in the last seven days. The data allow monitoring of the pandemic indicators without possible distortions caused by possible underreporting on weekends.

As a result, the country has recorded 30,183,929 cases and 661,493 deaths from Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
