Brazilian edtech will present project on empathy in schools at SXSW EDU

This Monday (4) the SXSW EDU , an event focused on education, which will take place until next Thursday (7). The meeting precedes SXSW (South by Southwest) — scheduled to start on March 8th.

An international reference in educational innovation, the event taking place in Austin, Texas (USA), was attended by the bilingual education company from Rio Edify Education present in more than 400 public and private schools in Brazil.

As the only Brazilian edtech selected for SXSW EDU, it will present the project Stimulate Empathy held in 2022, which took a multidisciplinary activity to partner schools, engaging students in reflection and discussion about the causes and consequences of hunger.

As a result of this activity, student involvement resulted in the donation of 100,000 meals to the NGO Citizenship Action.

At the event, Edify's academic coordinator, Andrea Fernandes, and the pedagogical mentor Talita Peres will give the talk together with Diogo Peixoto teacher at the partner school Fórum Cultural, in Niterói (RJ), about the project and how to encourage students' socio-emotional development in the classroom.
