On Tuesday night (24), the governor of Santa Catarina, Carlos Moisés, asked the Itamaraty to help bring the bodies of both men back to Brazil.
“I made contact this evening with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carlos França, requesting support from the Itamaraty to bring back to Brazil the body of Jesse Kozechen and Shurastey,” the governor wrote on Twitter.
Oregon State Police informed the CNN that an incident was recorded around 10:30 am on Monday (23), local time, due to an accident on US highway 199, which connects the states of California and Oregon.
According to preliminary investigations, the vehicle driven by Jesse made a maneuver to pass traffic, when it lost control and collided with a Ford Escape, driven by Eileen Huss, a 62-year-old woman, who was with a two-year-old baby. on board.
The crash took place in Grants Pass County, Oregon.
“Kozechen suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead. Huss was transported with injuries. Huss’s two-year-old passenger was unharmed,” Police Captain Stephanie Bigman told police. CNN. The highway was closed for about two hours because of the accident, police said.
After the death, an aunt of Jesse, who manages the profile of a pet brand on Instagram with the name of the Brazilian’s golden retriever, published that a “kitty” was being organized to raise funds to pay for the procedures to bring the body of Jesse and Shurastey to Brazil.
