The federal government released this Wednesday (31) the 2023 Budget Law Project (PLOA 2023) in which it maintains the exemption of fuel taxes and does not provide for the readjustment of the Income Tax.
Regarding Auxílio Brasil, the government maintained the forecast of an average payment of R$ 405 per beneficiary, but emphasized that it “recognises the relevance of the aforementioned public policy and the importance of continuing that increase for the families served by the program”.
The government emphasizes that “it will make efforts in search of legal solutions and budgetary measures that allow the maintenance of that amount in the year 2023, through dialogue with the National Congress to meet this priority.”
The government highlighted in the document that the target of assistance is 21.6 million families, and the program will have an annual budget of R$ 105.7 billion.
The government’s economic team also sent a space of R$ 11.6 billion to readjust the remuneration of public servants, in addition to a budget of R$ 19.3 billion for the so-called rapporteur’s amendments.
In addition, the forecast for the minimum wage for 2023 has increased to R$ 1,302, when previously, in the Budget Guidelines Law (LDO), the projection was R$ 1,294.
