Canon unveils EOS R3 mirrorless camera for reporters and unveils lifelike printers

Canon unveiled the new EOS R3 mirrorless camera for photojournalists and professionals at a special event for journalists. This model combines the traditional design of the EOS-1 with the advanced capabilities of the EOS R System. Designed with the demands of photojournalists and sports photographers in mind, this model features extremely fast autofocus with Dual Pixel AF technology and continuous shooting at 30 frames per second.

According to the company, the developers have made more than a hundred improvements over other Canon DSLR and mirrorless models. The EOS R3 is housed in a splash and dust resistant metal casing and features an innovative 24.1MP OIS sensor that can be combined with OIS in lenses. For the first time in this model, the electronic camera shutter can be used with flash units from other manufacturers.

In addition to the camera, Canon also demonstrated the capabilities of the PIXMA PRO-200 and imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 professional printers, which use 11 and 8 colors respectively. The devices are equipped with the Optimum Image Generating system to improve color reproduction based on the L-COA PRO processor. It analyzes the colors in the image and precisely matches the volume of inks and ink combinations for the most realistic printing possible.
