“It is with great sadness that I can confirm that His Eminence, Cardinal George Pell, died in Rome in the early hours of the mornings” pointed out the Australian archbishop Anthony Fisher in a statement received by AFP referring to the death of George Pell.
“This news comes as a great shock to all of us,” Archbishop Fischer added, calling on the faithful to “pray for the repose of Cardinal Pell’s soul.”
