Carlinhos Maia responds to criticism for “lack of humility”: “I don’t bully anyone”

The digital influencer Carlinhos Maia 33, spoke out about his supposed “lack of humility”, stating that he does not intend to change his personality to please anyone.

In an interview with RedeTV!’s SuperPop program, the influencer criticized the way people use the word humility: “I think it sucks, how people use that word wrong all the time. No! I’ve never been [humilde] and it has nothing to do with money, because I was never that person.”

“They want me to change my personality, which brought me here, to pretend to be something I’m not,” he continued.

Maia explained that he has no patience for anyone who irritates him: “I’m not going to humiliate you for free, only if you do something that bothers me. If you are a good person, I will treat you with the greatest politeness in the world and the greatest respect.”

The content creator added that his personality is often mistaken for a lack of humility. “People want me to force something that I will never be. For me, humility is not that”, he said.

“And there are people who are actually much nicer. I’m more to myself and shy. But I also don’t treat anyone gratuitously, I’m not much of a toucher. I like a goodbye from afar”, he concluded.
