Cemig informed this Friday (8) that Cemig SIM, its company dedicated to the distributed energy generation segment, acquired a 49% stake in companies that own 6 photovoltaic solar generation plants.
According to the statement, the amount to be disbursed by the company is R$ 37.2 million, subject to price adjustment mechanisms provided for in the contract.
Cemig SIM bought shares in the companies G2 Energia and Apolo Empreendimentos e Energia, which have operational shared distributed generation plants in the municipality of Lavras, in Minas Gerais.
The plants add up to 18.5 megawatt-peak (MWp) of power and will jointly serve approximately 1,800 customers in the low-voltage residential, commercial and industrial markets.
“This transaction reinforces the company’s strategy of sustainable growth in the distributed generation market, its commitment to creating value with investments in projects that contribute to the diversification and expansion of its portfolio through renewable energy sources and strengthening the electricity matrix of the State of Minas Gerais,” the company said in a statement.
