Cenipa will investigate plane crash in the West Zone of SP

The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) reported that researchers from the Center for Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention (Cenipa) were called in to investigate crash of a small plane which happened this Friday (7) on Marques de São Vicente Avenue, Barra Funda, west of São Paulo.

According to information from the Military Police, two people who were in the aircraft died charred. In addition, a biker and a lady who was on a bus were hit by wreckage and were injured.

According to the FAB, information collection, the preservation of the elements, the initial verification of damage caused to the aircraft, or the aircraft, and the survey of other information necessary for the investigation will be performed.

Researchers are also in contact with the Airspace Control Department (DECEA) to verify the aircraft’s flight plan. After gathering the initial data, the technicians pass on the information to the competent bodies, including the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac).

This initial action is being conducted by investigators of the fourth regional service in research and prevention of aeronautical accidents, Cenipa regional agency, located in São Paulo.

“The conclusion of this investigation will have as shorter time, always depending on the complexity of the occurrence and also the need to discover possible contributing factors,” the FAB said in a statement.

The aircraft fell around 7:20 am. Campo de Mars Airport confirmed that the plane, a small twin -engine King Air Air, took off this morning. The control tower lost contact with the aircraft at 7:16 am minutes after takeoff.
