After a year off due to the pandemic, the CFDA Fashion Awards, the very important awards of American fashion, returned on November 10 to dazzle New York and, consequently, our Instagram feeds. Why, if there is an opportunity for a star to show off bet that leave their mark, is this ceremony. After all, the biggest ones met in the Big Apple fashion celeb of every sector on a planetary level that they pulled out of the closet look with a wow effect assured also considering that the event honors those who have excelled at a sartorial level. Not only, therefore, designers like Ashley Olsen, LaQuan Smith e Demna Gvasalia they walked on the red carpet, but also celebs like Emily Ratajkowski e Ciara brought their couture share into the spotlight with models from Miu Miu and Tom Ford.

The evening was one to remember also because it made history: zendaya, which received the award as Fashion Icon of the Year, is the youngest ever, while the very stylish Anya Taylor-Joy was awarded the recognition as Face of the Year.

Naturally both showed their great sense of style at the ceremony: for the protagonist of Dune a breathtaking red look by Vera Wang Haute Couture with a bandeau top, pencil skirt with the plus of a puff peplum on the side and wearing over 60 carats of Bvlgari diamonds distributed among necklaces, bracelets and a ring.

Equally surprising Anya Taylor-Joy, gorgeous in a purple mini dress by Oscar de la Renta that oozed 50s. The star added an unexpected touch to her look by pairing the dress with an animalier hat and matching gloves by Gigi Burris. Obviously also the protagonist of The Queen of Chess showed off bling bling touches by Tiffany & Co., in particular with a pendant necklace from the Tiffany Blue Book Collection 2021 with diamonds over 12 carats.

In addition to them, to be rewarded too Christopher John Rogers (Womenswear Designer of the Year), Emily Bode-Aujla per Bode (Menswear Designer of the Year), Edvin Thompson per Theophilio (American Emerging Designer of the Year), Demna Gvasalia for Balenciaga (International Womenswear Designer), Telfar Clemens per Telfar (Accessories Designer of The Year), The Model Alliance (The Positive Social Influence Award), Aurora James per the 15 Percent Pledge (The Founder’s Award in honor of Eleanor Lambert), Patagonia (The Environmental Sustainability Award), Nina Garcia (The Media Award in Honor of Eugenia Sheppard), brave Dan (The Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award), Yeohlee Teng (The Board of Directors’ Tribute).

In addition to Zendaya and Taylor-Joy to give rainbow shocks to the red carpet was Emily Blunt, who presented the awards ceremony, in Christopher John Rogers’ bright orange tuxedo, and Drew Barrymore designer Christian Siriano, practically a cloud of lime tulle ready to go to the prom.

On the opposite side, that of #teamblack, the dark and minimalist looks of the actress / model stand out, as well as the protagonist of the series of the moments Squid Game, HooYeon Jung in Louis Vuitton, by Ashley Olsen, rigorous in the long coat of his brand The Row e Cara delevingne in blazer smoking, 100% sexy ed elegante.
