The CEO of the largest crypto exchange Binance discussed with the President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire the prospects for the development of the crypto industry, the introduction of digital currencies and blockchain integration.
Changpeng Zhao has asked President Alassane Ouattara to provide support for Binance’s entry into local commercial platforms, the introduction of crypto trading, and the promotion of digital assets.
The CEO is confident in the successful prospects for expanding the business of the Binance cryptocurrency exchange on the continent. In particular, he believes that providing African citizens with new technological opportunities to access financial resources will increase the proportion of the population actively participating in economic activity.
In 2022, Zhao visited several jurisdictions and met with top government officials to talk about the prospects for pairing national economies and cryptocurrency technologies. So, the head of Binance met with the President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, and also received approval from the Central Bank of Bahrain after meeting with Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
