Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao urged iPhone and iPad owners to urgently update their devices to iOS 16.6.1.
The Apple iOS/iPadOS 16.6.1 updates today includes a security patch to an iMessage vulnerability that allows remote code execution WITHOUT ANY INTERACTIONS from the victim. It is being exploited in the wild by the Pegasus threat group already. Update immediately. Stay #SAFU.

CZ reported that new updates to Apple’s iOS and iPadOS operating systems address the vulnerability in iMessage. According to him, this bug allows you to remotely run code on the device without any action from the owner.
In his post, Changpeng Zhao mentioned Pegasus. Presumably, we are talking about malware that penetrates mobile devices and gains access to chat and email messages, photos, camera and microphone.
CZ did not specify whether the vulnerability has anything to do with the Binance exchange and user assets.
In a recent AMA session on X (formerly Twitter), the founder of Binance made several statements about the sale of Bitcoin and the end of the bear market. Recall that since the beginning of 2023, Web3 projects have lost $1.24 billion as a result of hacker attacks. Another attacker hacked the user’s phone and drained his futures deposit.
