The founder of the Cardano crypto project, Charles Hoskinson, believes that Bitcoin’s hashrate will decrease, and as a result, the blockchain of the first cryptocurrency will face “heat death”.

Charles Hoskinson noted that the crypto industry no longer needs Bitcoin – it has become a religious symbol, so its ecosystem is doomed.

“98% of the changes in the industry are happening outside the first cryptocurrency. The hashrate of the digital gold blockchain will decline and it will slowly go into heat death,” Hoskinson said.

As an example, he cited the situation around the Windows operating system, which stopped introducing innovations. As a result, users began switching to Android and iOS gadgets.

According to Hoskinson, similar prospects await Bitcoin – it will cease to be in demand among market participants. The creator of Cardano emphasized that he repeatedly called on Bitcoin developers to implement innovations, but the community rejected his proposals.

Earlier, Mynth founder Robert Roose suggested kicking Charles Hoskinson out of the project after the implementation of the Chang hard fork in order to “increase the decentralization of the platform.”
