The developers of the VKontakte social network today, on August 26, officially announced a rather impressive update for their messenger – starting from September, all users will have the opportunity to visually personalize chats to their liking. Moreover, in addition to the ability to customize the messenger to suit their requirements, the user has the option of setting a single chat topic for a specific conversation – in this case, all private traders will see the new design style.
The function of changing the design of the messenger will be available for users of smartphones with the operating system Android and iOS – it will be possible either to choose one of eleven pre-prepared templates, or to customize all the parameters yourself to get a unique topic for communication. Among the customization settings is replacing the background with your image (you can install either any picture from the Internet, as well as a photo or selfie with a person with whom you are in correspondence, for example) and setting a certain color of messages. So far, there is no information on any additional functions.
In addition, the developers of the social network noted that the user can change the style of design both for each individual dialogue and for a group chat. At the same time, the ability to choose a topic can be transferred – initially, if there are more than two people in a conversation, the choice is given to administrators and the creator of the chat, but this function can be transferred to any participant in the conference. This is a rather pleasant innovation against the background of the recent restart of Messages in the social network application – now the section is called Messenger, it offers video calls, it is possible to send voice messages (and transform them into text), exchange documents, and so on.
