Chevrolet introduced the third generation Montana: a compact pickup truck without all-wheel drive and a diesel engine is cheaper than $26,000

Chevrolet has released a new model for the South American market. This is the third generation Chevrolet Montana, which is a compact subcompact pickup truck that can boast neither all-wheel drive nor a diesel engine option.

The new generation Chevrolet Montana is built on the same platform as the Chevrolet Onyx and Onyx Plus sedans and the Tracker compact crossover. Under the hood of Chevrolet’s new small pickup truck is a non-alternative 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with a peak output of 133 hp, like the Tracker. He is accompanied by a six-speed “mechanics” or automatic transmission, which also has six speeds. The drive, regardless of the selected configuration, is always only on the front wheels.

The length of the new Chevrolet Montana is 4.72 meters, and the cargo compartment can accommodate up to 874 liters. The pickup truck is positioned by the manufacturer as a practical model for every day, which, although it cannot boast of outstanding off-road performance, has everything you need, namely, a spacious interior and an isolated cargo platform. He also has six airbags, a blind spot monitoring system, LED optics, a rear view camera, keyless entry and a climate control system.

The first market where the Chevrolet Montana debuted was Brazil. There, the model is already available for pre-order, and the start of deliveries is scheduled for February next year. The issue price is from 134,490 Brazilian reais (about 25,800 US dollars at the current exchange rate). In what other countries the new compact pickup truck of the American brand will be available is not specified.
