Cielo’s startup mentoring program has applications open until June 5

Applications for the fifth edition of Cielo’s mentoring program for startups are open until June 5th. The initiative will be carried out in a hybrid format, that is, online and in person, and, for the first time, will exclusively serve ten impact startups.

Conducted by Garagem Cielo, the company’s innovation hub, and by the Sustainability team, the program will select companies that are already in operation and have customers. Since 2018, more than 450 hours of mentoring have been carried out with 60 startups from 14 different areas.

The objective, according to Daniel Poli, head of Sustainability at Cielo, is to boost startups with impactful businesses, also thinking about positive social impact.

According to Innovation in Corporate Citizenship (ICE), impact businesses are “enterprises that have the clear intention of addressing a socio-environmental problem through their main activity (either their product/service and/or their way of operating)” . Thus, even seeking financial return, they are committed to measuring the impact they generate.

“There is enthusiasm for this edition, because it points to a very important universe that allows us to expand business frontiers”, says Ana Fusco, head of Garagem.

As in previous editions, the program will be led by Cielo’s vice presidency and superintendent.
