I don't see myself as upset, but I see a more relaxed look, also because before when I was down in the dumps or particularly tired, I noticed the drooping eyelid even more.” A follower asks how long the surgery lasted: «Approximately 40 minutes”, replies Clio. “I did the day hospital: I entered the clinic at 7 in the morning, the doctor operated on me at 8 and I was already out at 1pm.” Third question: “Do you feel pain?” «Zero!», confirms Clio Zammatteo. «Neither during the operation, because I was asleep, nor after, once the operation was over. This is the final part of the points”, specifies Clio. Following this, the influencer and make-up artist explained that she had done the operation under local anesthesia, «but I didn't notice anything, because before doing it they had given me a drug to help me sleep and I collapsed like a cooked pear. I therefore took an antibiotic treatment for 7 days, starting from the day of discharge from the clinic.” Followers therefore ask if blepharoplasty is an operation that can be repeated. “Yes. I also asked how long before the eyelid could droop again, but there is talk of a possibility in 20 years, so there is no need to worry in the short term.” Cost side: «paying for everything, operation, day hospital, nurse, anesthetist, day hospital I spent a total of 4,600 euros». To the question “After how long are you presentable?”, Clio replies that after 10 days you are presentable, although obviously you can still see the scars. To see the final effect, however, you need to wait approximately 6 months. “Do you see yourself different?”. Clio's response: «I don't look or feel different, I see myself more rested and I can finally see my eyelid, it's as if every day I woke up after 8 hours of sleep.”

Blepharoplasty: the opinion of the specialist doctor

As the Dr. Carmela Pisano, doctor and regenerative aesthetic surgeon, owner of Acaia Clinic in Rome and Milan, «Surgical blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery, is an aesthetic or functional procedure aimed at improving the appearance of the upper and/or lower eyelids. This operation can be performed for correct cosmetic problems such as bags under the eyes, excess skin on the upper eyelids or deep creases around the eyes, as well as to correct functional problems such as impairment of the visual field due to excessive skin on the upper eyelids.” What to know about the procedure? «During the surgery, the surgeon removes excess skin, excess fat, and sometimes muscle tissue, to redesign and reduce the swelling and flaccidity of the eyelids. Before surgery, it is important to undergo a in-depth consultation with the plastic surgeon. During this phase, the surgeon will examine the patient's general health statuswill discuss expectations and desired outcomes and deliver detailed preoperative instructions. These instructions may include abstaining from anticoagulant medications, avoiding smoking, and planning for the post-operative recovery period. Blepharoplasty recovery time varies from person to person, but generally you can return to normal daily activities within a week, maximum two after surgery. Swelling, bruising, and tenderness in the treated area may occur during the recovery period, but these symptoms tend to improve over time. The results of blepharoplasty can be very satisfactory, with a younger, fresher and more rested appearance of the eyelids and of the gaze in general. However, it is important to have realistic expectations and understand that final results may take a few months to fully manifest. It must also be said that today, for those who do not feel like undergoing surgery, There are valid non-surgical blepharoplasty alternativesfor example latest generation radio frequencies such as Thermage FLX or lasers such as the Pixel 2940″.
