The international rating agency Fitch Ratings confirmed the financial strength and robustness of the French insurance giant CNP Assurances, which is also active in our country, with its ranking in the “A +” category and with a stable outlook.
According to Fitch Ratings, the rating reflects CNP Assurances’ strong capitalization, highly dynamic business profile and consistent financial performance history.
The evaluation also takes into account the expectations that the parent company La Banque Postale SA will complete the acquisition of the remaining minority holding of CNP Assurances and will become its sole shareholder in 2022.
Fitch Ratings is of the opinion that this transaction will establish CNP Assurances as a key and integral part of La Banque Postale SA and will strengthen the strategic and financial alignment of the business aspirations of the two companies. It will also consolidate the Group’s position in Bankassurance, while maintaining the distribution and governance model of CNP Assurances with multiple partnerships.
