Coinbase to Launch Voter Registration Tool

The American exchange Coinbase intends to help all citizens interested in cryptocurrencies to understand how their choice of one policy or another will affect the industry in the future.

Coinbase has launched a voter registration tool and a cryptocurrency policy education initiative. The initiative will be to roll out resources to help users learn about the issues of cryptocurrencies, the position of their elected officials on the industry, and how to participate in discussions.

According to Coinbase Chief Policy Officer Faryar Shirzad, this year’s election will be the most important in the history of the crypto industry:

“The leaders we select in November will make key decisions about how to regulate cryptocurrencies, blockchain and Web3. We’ve heard loud and clear from our clients that they want to be a part of this debate and are looking for trusted resources, tools and support to help them get their voices heard.”

The company said it did not regularly talk about politics, and sometimes even remained neutral, but it does not plan to ignore participation in political processes when the future of the industry depends on it. Coinbase considers it its “mission” to help bring economic freedom to the world.

“Smart and actionable regulations for cryptocurrencies are critical to maintaining US competitiveness and innovation. Participation in the 2022 US midterm elections gives everyone a chance to be an important part of the conversation about the future of cryptocurrencies,” the company said.

Earlier, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said that large technology companies will be the catalyst for the universal adoption of cryptocurrencies.
