Consumer confidence drops to -15.5 in October as expected

Consumer confidence for the eurozone and the EU fell by 1.6 points in October and reached -15.5 and -16.5, respectively, as data published by the European Commission showed on Thursday.

Additional details from the post revealed that industrial confidence for the euro area improved modestly to -9.6 from -11.4 and the Economic Sentiment Indicator remained unchanged at 90.9.
