Coronavirus – Sweden: Restores measures as cases increase

THE Sweden will reintroduce a series meters to stop the increase of cases coronavirus in its territory, urging, at the same time, to observe the updated rules of social distancing and the use of the mask in public transport.

“We are seeing an increased spread of infections, albeit at low levels,” the prime minister said earlier today. Magdalena Anderson during a press conference.

Therefore, “we must all work together so that the situation does not worsen, so today we are presenting additional precautionary measures.”

According to AFP, the country, which has just implemented for the first time one vaccination certificate for some gatherings, it intends to extend it to restaurants and other venues, such as sports venues, from next week.

This pass, which has been in force since December 1, is currently needed for indoor events of more than 100 people.

The Covid-19 death toll in Sweden (around 15,000 deaths per 10.3 million inhabitants) is around the European average, but it is higher from its neighboring countries, namely Norway, Finland and Denmark.

It is pointed out that according to the data gathered by AFP, and relayed by ΑΠΕ ΜΠΕ, even if the trend is upward, the number of cases and deaths in the country is currently among the lower in Europe with 26 dead and less than 15,000 cases last week.
