A couple from South America now hold a Guinness World Record for having more than 98 body modifications. Both have had piercings, body implants and other modifications, according to the Guinness World Records.
Victor Hugo, from Uruguay, and Gabriela Peralta, from Argentina, had already won a title for the most body modifications (married couple), tallying 84 in 2014.
Since then, this record has been confirmed and they have done more tattoo and modifications to their bodies.
Both together have 50 piercings, 14 body implants, five dental implants and more. Both have tattoos up to their eyes.
Due to their appearance, the couple has been labeled as “cherubs from hell”.
The adventurous couple, who have been married for 14 years, met at a motorcycle event 24 years ago and it was their shared passion that brought them together.
It was love at first sight. From that moment they knew they would share the rest of their lives, following their passion for implants and body modifications, some of which they admit are very painful, according to the Guinness World Records website.
“For the couple, body modifications are the greatest symbol of artistic expression and freedom. They are not afraid to be different and feel proud of their beliefs and outlook on life,” the website notes.
The couple believes that the secret to a successful marriage is a shared love of art, modifications, tattoos and above all, love, commitment and respect for each other.
