A death and 706 new cases of coronavirus were announced by the Ministry of Health of Cyprus on Monday afternoon.
In particular, today, one person died of COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 602. In addition, 116 COVID-19 patients are being treated, of which 41 are in serious condition. 75% of patients do not have a history of vaccination. Also 4 post-COVID patients who stopped being infectious (declassified cases), continue to be hospitalized in a serious condition due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
A total of 100,991 disease detection tests have been performed by the molecular method (PCR) and the antigen rapid test method, while 706 (positivity rate: 0.7%) are the new cases of COVID-19 disease detected by molecular PCR and antigen rapid tests, bringing the total number of cases to 137,538.
