Cyprus: Political Crisis in the Occupied Territories – The government of the pseudo-state has resigned

The government of the pseudo-state Prime Minister Faiz Suzuoglu has resigned, following a bitter confrontation with the so-called Minister of Finance, Sunat Atun, over the political crisis in Occupied to be high.

The multi-day confrontation between the two men started with the decisions regarding the increases in the prices of basic necessities, as well as the general difficulty of the Turkish Cypriots to meet the cost of living, says the correspondent of APE-MPE.

The controversy culminated after announcements about the price of electricity by the pseudo-prime minister. The latter was in favor of reducing the price, while Atun publicly expressed his disagreement.

Just two months after the formation of the so-called Occupied Government, the political scene is once again entering a period of uncertainty, while according to information, the Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar, before accepting the resignation of the members of the group, had consulted with the Anchor.

Suciuoglu, leader of the National Unity Party, had sent a letter to Ersin Tatar asking him to oust Atun, but the Turkish Cypriot leader did not do so and said he would assess the issue.
