D. Kuleba: ‘I want to see Putin in the dock’

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba wants to see Russian President Vladimir Putin in his dock.

He stated this last night on the Bild television platform. In previous statements, Kuleba said he had asked the G7 countries to seize Russia’s assets and hand them over to Kyiv to help rebuild the country.

The proposal came from Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, adding that he hoped Hungary would agree with its EU partners on the oil embargo in Moscow.

“Canada has already done this and I have a feeling that others will get to this point sooner or later. We are talking about hundreds of billions of dollars. Russia has to pay,” he told reporters on the sidelines of the Foreign Ministry meeting. of the G7 in Northern Germany.

He also called on the European Union to push for broader sanctions on Russia, including an oil embargo, and said it hoped Hungary would back down.

“We are not interfering in their discussion, but it is a critical moment to see if EU unity will continue to exist or if it will split,” he said.

The G7 foreign ministers called for more aid and weapons to be given to Kyiv during the meeting, in what Germany called a “strong sign of unity” to deepen Russia’s global isolation.

He added that there has been a significant improvement in the country’s arms supply, but more needs to be done to ensure that Kyiv could continue to resist Moscow, particularly its missile launch systems.

He blamed Russia for blocking Ukrainian exports of agricultural products and said the G7 had discussed how to lift the embargo.
