“Deadpool & Wolverine” celebrates friendship, says Ryan Reynolds

The promotional tour for “Deadpool & Wolverine ” that is circulating all over the world has reached London on Thursday (11), with the stars Ryan Reynolds It is Hugh Jackman taking their friendship to the film’s premiere event.

The two entertained fans with their high-energy and humorous appearances at previous stops in Shanghai, Seoul and Berlin.

In the third installment of the “Deadpool” film franchise, Jackman’s Wolverine returns from retirement to help the wise-cracking Deadpool (Reynolds) save his world. “It’s about friendship, and friendship is another version of a love story,” said Reynolds, who also wrote and produced the film.

“There are a lot of moments in the movie where it’s hard to tell if it’s Deadpool talking to Wolverine, Wolverine talking to Deadpool, or if it’s Hugh and Ryan talking to each other. And I’m really proud of those moments,” he continued.

Jackman had no plans to reprise his role as the X-Man Wolverine, but he began to change his mind after watching the first “Deadpool” film. “There was something there,” he said, pointing to his heart. “I really thought it was over. And then five or six years later, I was directing and I knew I wanted to do it.”

“I knew for the fans it would be the thing they’ve been waiting for, I knew it would be a dynamic we’ve never seen before,” he continued. “I had no idea how hard it would be physically, at 55 years old, to do this, but it was worth it. I loved every second of it.”

Plot details for the film are being kept under wraps. Respecting the characters and their legacy was central to the writing process, according to director and screenwriter Shawn Levy.

“But then we take them into areas that other films haven’t gone into,” he said. “I think you’ll see aspects of both of their performances that are quite different from what we’ve seen in their previous films.”

The only Marvel-Disney film released this year, “Deadpool & Wolverine” is expected to be a box office hit when it begins its worldwide theatrical release in July 24th .

“There’s a lot at stake, but we’re working hard to deliver the goods,” Levy said.

For Reynolds, 47, the film’s release to the world brings other concerns. “I feel like I’ve been waiting my whole life to make this movie. The only problem is I don’t know what the hell we’re supposed to do next.”
