Singer Marília Mendonça, 26, died after the plane that took her to concerts in Minas Gerais crashed. In addition to the singer, an uncle who was her advisor, a producer, the pilot and the copilot died.
Pfizer for children
Pfizer must request the definitive registration of the vaccine against Covid-19 for children aged 5 to 11 years at Anvisa by next Friday. The drugmaker is finalizing the documentation of the studies that were presented and approved by the US regulatory agency.
Petrobras
Petrobras released a statement in which it says that the federal government has no plans to privatize the state-owned company. The details were given after the company consulted the Ministries of Mines and Energy and the Economy.
Investigation against Alcolumbre
Minister Luís Roberto Barroso, from the Federal Supreme Court, sent to the Attorney General’s Office a criminal report against senator Davi Alcolumbre. He is suspected of maintaining a scheme to collect the salary of employees in his office, a crime known as a “crack”. The alleged scheme was revealed by Veja magazine last week.
Deforestation in the Amazon
The Legal Amazon registered the second largest deforestation for the month of October. The forest lost 795 square kilometers.
