DEDA flagship collaboration with YALE University and EKPA for the development of green energy

DEDA is in an emblematic collaboration with the Center of Excellence for Environmental Studies and Public Health, which is being created in Athens by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) and the Yale University of the United States.

Yale, the world’s leading university institution for more than 300 years, provides a high level of study in a wide range of disciplines, including Medicine, Law and Engineering. EKPA, which was founded about 200 years ago, holds a special place in the Southeastern Mediterranean and is a University of high prestige, having established its own tradition in the field of Science and creative participation in social becoming.

In this context, the CEO of DEDA, Marios Tsakas and company executives had a working meeting with the heads of the Center of Excellence, Professor of Analytical Chemistry, Nikolaos Thomaidis from EKPA and Professor of Epidemiology, Vassilis Vassilios and team Y Yale Top Teachers, on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.

The meeting focused on the areas of cooperation between the two sides, with emphasis on the development of green energy through the distribution by the networks of DEDA of renewable gaseous fuels with zero or minimal carbon footprint, such as biomethane and hydrogen.

In addition, joint actions were discussed regarding the application of new distribution technologies and the full digitization of all sectors and actions of DEDA, in order to ensure the optimal management and operation of gas distribution networks and the highest level of transparency, reliability and serviceability. .

The administration of DEDA presented to the professors of the Center of Excellence of EKPA and Yale Universities detailed proposals for the areas of cooperation between the two sides and in the near future the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (MoU) is expected for the implementation of specific actions for the benefit of Greek society.

EKPA and Yale are an important opportunity to further upgrade the services we offer to consumers and consolidate DEDA among Europe’s leading energy companies. , is a vote of confidence in the company “.

On his part, the head of the Center of Excellence on behalf of EKPA, Professor of Analytical Chemistry, Nikolaos Thomaidis underlined: which will be established in Athens and I will have the honor to co-chair with Professor Vassilis Vassilios from the School of Public Health of Yale University. “Cooperation Agreement (MoU) with DEDA for partnership on critical issues, such as sustainable development through green energy”.
