Democratic lawmakers calling for Joe Biden to step down are growing

Democratic lawmakers have stepped up pressure on US President Joe Biden to drop his bid for re-election, with at least 13 members of Congress and one senator speaking out publicly against his campaign.

Meanwhile, two key members of Biden’s campaign are urging Democrats to unite.

In a new memo obtained by CNN, Biden campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon and campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez acknowledged that “the debate [da CNN ] was a setback.”

Commitment to candidacy remains
