Denmark says he agrees with USA to discuss Greenland

Denmark Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen spoke with United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Friday (24). According to a statement from the ministry, the two agreed that the theme of Greenland will be discussed later.

Rasmussen and Rubio, moreover, discussed the war in Ukraine, European security and the situation in the Middle East in his conversation, according to the statement.

The comment comes after Trump resumes the appeals made in its first presidency for Greenland in the US. In this second term, the Republican states that it is “an absolute necessity.” Asked at a press conference on January 7, before taking office, if he would rule out the use of “military or economic coercion” to win Greenland, the president -elect replied: “No, I can’t guarantee, but I can say the following : We need her for economic security. ”
