With production of Netflix “El Conde” will feature Chilean film and television stars such as Jaime Vadell, Gloria Münchmeyer, Alfredo Castro and Paula Luschinger.
The story was written by Larraín with Guillermo Calderón and will be produced by Fábula, the production company responsible for award-winning features such as “Spencer”, “Jackie” and “A Fantastic Woman”, which won the Oscar for Best International Film in 2018.
For the magazine “Variety”, the filmmaker stated that, through this comedy, “he wants to observe, understand and analyze the events that have taken place in Chile and in the world in the last 50 years”. “We have complete confidence that we will do a good job and it will undoubtedly be an adventure: a demanding but very inspiring and meaningful shoot,” he said.
