A death of the singer Michael Jackson complete 15 years this Tuesday (25). Nicknamed as the “Pop king “, the artist died at the age of 50, in 2009, after a cardiac arrest. After his death, however, two posthumous albums were released. Find out below.
“Michael”, from 2010, brought together recording materials over nine years. The album was fully available for listening before its official release, which had not yet occurred until then.
Among the tracks on the album are “Breaking News”, which was the first announced, and “Hold My Hand”, the result of a joint effort between Michael Jackson and Akon.
In the 2010 edition, ten songs were made available. However, in 2022, Jackson’s website spokesperson reported that the songs “Breaking News”, “Monster” and “Keep You Head Up” were removed from the platforms due to controversies involving the legitimacy of the artist’s productions.
Michael Jackson’s twelfth studio album and second posthumous album, “Xscape”, from 2014, brought together eight new songs by the American singer, recorded at different stages of his career.

Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009, aged 50, in Los Angeles, while preparing for his return to the stage with the “This Is It” tour, after a cardiac arrest. The autopsy revealed intoxication with the anesthetic propofol, a sedative used in surgical procedures.
At the time, the King of Pop’s doctor, Conrad Muray, was indicted for manslaughter for administering the medication. Murray was sentenced in November 2011 to four years in prison and released two years later.
Months later, the cardiologist regained his right to practice his profession. Michael Jackson’s death, however, was surrounded by some conflicting information and became highlighted in the world press.
