Taylor Swift’s cat, a singer who is on tour in Brazil, is the third “richest” pet in the world. The information is from a survey on the All About Cats website. The feline’s net worth is US$97 million (R$471 million, at current exchange rates).
Named Olivia Benson, the Scottish Fold cat, is the second feline with the highest financial income, behind only Nala Cat (R$485 million). First place in the ranking goes to the dog Gunther VI (R$ 2,400 billion).
The value attributed to the singer’s cat is due to big-budget advertising, such as Coca-Cola, but also to products designed for cats and appearances in the famous woman’s music videos, such as those for the songs “Blank Space” and “Me”.
The All About Cats survey was carried out based on the analysis of animal participation in advertising and licensing campaigns, also published on their Instagram profiles. One of the evaluation criteria was the number of followers, likes and engagement rates.
