The bus drivers and collectors of the city of São Paulo carry out a new strike this Wednesday (29). The strike was defined at a meeting of the union of the category held on Tuesday afternoon (28). With the strike, the City of São Paulo decided to suspend the rotation of vehicles, which would apply to cars with final plates 5 and 6 this Wednesday.

Despite having guaranteed a salary adjustment of 12.75% in the last strike, which took place two weeks ago, the workers claim that other demands were not met, such as paid lunch hours, PLR, adaptation of nomenclatures and career plans in the maintenance sector. .

According to SPTrans, the “outage affects 675 daytime lines and 6,008 buses, which would transport 1.5 million passengers at the peak of the morning”. As of 4 am, the operation in all garages was interrupted, except for the Express, in the east side of the city.

With the strike, the City of São Paulo decided to suspend the rotation of vehicles, which would apply to cars with final plates 5 and 6 this Wednesday. “The City of São Paulo, through SPTrans, regrets the stoppage of municipal bus lines and hopes that workers and entrepreneurs will soon reach an agreement so that the population of São Paulo is not further penalized,” he said in a note.

On May 31, SPTrans obtained an injunction in the Labor Court that determines the operation of 80% of the fleet at peak hours and 60% at other hours, subject to a daily fine of R$ 50 thousand.
