EasyJet: Revenue increased, losses shrank

EasyJet announced that bookings in the previous 10 weeks were 6% higher compared to the corresponding period of 2019, while announcing a reduction in pre-tax losses for the first half of 2022, while revenues increased due to increased capacity.

The British low-cost airline announced that it has sold 76% of time bookings for the third quarter and 36% for the fourth quarter.

EasyJet stressed that it expects the capacity in the third quarter to reach approximately 90% of the fiscal year 2019, and that the capacity for sale for the fourth quarter is approximately 97% of the fiscal year 2019.

The low-cost company said that for the six months to March 31, pre-tax losses stood at 7 557m ($ 687.6m), up from 6 645m a year earlier.

Adjusted pre-tax losses amounted to 45 545 million, compared with a loss of 70 701 million.

The revenues of the period amounted to 1.5 dos. Sterling, compared to 240 million pounds.
