Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) has unveiled the Liva Q1A ultra-compact mini PC and its Q1A Plus variant. The dimensions of these miniature systems are only 74 x 74 x 34.6 mm.
The Liva Q1A is based on a Rockchip RK3288 SoC with a quad-core Cortex-A17 processor, clocked at up to 1.6 GHz. The Liva Q1A Plus uses a Rockchip RK3399 SoC with a processor featuring two Cortex-A72 cores operating at up to 1.8 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores operating at up to 1.4 GHz. The small heat dissipation of the SoC made it possible to get by with passive cooling.
The board soldered 2 GB of LPDDR3-1600 memory and an eMMC module with a capacity of 32 or 64 GB. You can expand the storage using a microSD card up to 128 GB.
In the equipment of a mini-PC, you can select a 1 GbE port, Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.0 wireless connections, HDMI 2.0 video output that supports resolutions up to 4K at frame rates up to 60 Hz. The Q1A Plus additionally has a DisplayPort 1.2 output that also supports resolutions up to 4K at frame rates up to 60 Hz.
The Liva Q1A configuration includes three USB 2.0 ports with full-size connectors and one routed to the micro-USB connector. Liva Q1A has only two USB 2.0 ports, but it has one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port. It supports Android 8.1 and Ubuntu Lite 18.04. The manufacturer does not provide prices.
