Eight out of ten support vaccination of children

Eight out of ten Brazilians support the vaccination of children between 5 and 11 years of age against Covid-19, according to a survey released this Monday (17) by Datafolha.

“In your opinion, should children aged 5 to 11 be vaccinated against covid or not?”. Faced with this question, 79% of respondents answered yes, while 17% answered no.

In a gender perspective, women stood out as favorable: 83% said yes to childhood vaccination. Among men, 75% were in favor of immunization in this age group.

The Datafolha institute interviewed over 2,000 people over 16 years of age by telephone on January 12 and 13. The poll’s margin of error is two percentage points.

This Monday (17), ten Brazilian capitals started vaccinating children from 5 years of age; another 11 had already started the campaign.
