Nursing technician Deisi Felczak Pereira, 40 years old, who was elected councilor for the PL in Rio do Campo (SC) this year, was stabbed by her own partner inside the health center where she works.
The case occurred last Tuesday (12) in Rio do Campo, a city located almost 300 kilometers from Florianópolis. After the crime, the man allegedly tried to commit suicide.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found Deisi pale and with low blood pressure, due to the large amount of blood she had lost.
With injuries to her head, face and spine, the elected councilor had to undergo a blood transfusion. She was then taken to the Alto Vale Regional Hospital in Rio do Sul. According to Rio do Campos city hall, she remains hospitalized and stable.
In a note published on social media, the city council lamented the tragedy:
According to the Military Police, the case is being treated as an attempted feminicide. The perpetrator of the crime, also 40 years old, was arrested shortly after the incident, but had to be taken to a health unit for having tried to take his own life. The man had already been arrested by the police for the crime of slander.
Deisi was elected to the position of councilor this year with 226 votes received.
