The launch of Eletrobras capitalization offer should take place in mid-March, with the pricing of the operation scheduled for April, said a representative of the BNDES, during a public hearing this Wednesday (5).
“We expect to have, in March, a ruling by the TCU (Court of Accounts of the Union) on privatization, remembering that before that there is another TCU ruling, for January, on the decotization (of Eletrobras plants)”, said Leonardo Mandelblatt, head of the company’s Corporate Structuring and Divestment department.
The first project on the 2022 schedule, according to Mandelblatt, will be the holding of an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting to discuss the privatization of Eletrobras, which should take place on February 22nd.
The public hearing that takes place this Wednesday aims to provide information to the public about the state-owned capitalization process, in addition to gathering suggestions and contributions to the project, according to the federal government.
The session began at 10 am, and is expected to close at 6 pm, after final considerations by the board.
The audience will be attended by the president of Eletrobras, Rodrigo Limp, the special secretary for Privatization, Divestment and Markets at the Ministry of Economy, Diogo Mac Cord, the secretary of the PPI, Marta Sellier, the Program director at the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Anderson Oliveira , in addition to the head of the BNDES’ Corporate Structuring and Divestment department, Leonardo Mandelblatt
