Multibillionaire businessman Elon Musk published a photo next to Javier Milei, president of Argentina, on Monday night (6), after meeting with the head of state in Los Angeles, in the United States.
In another post on the social network X, which Musk owns, he recommended investing in the South American country. In response, Argentina's presidential spokesman, Manuel Ardoni, told the businessman: “Thank you, Elon, you are the best. End”.
They were accompanied by the general secretary of the Argentine Presidency, Karina Milei, who is the Argentine president's sister.
This is the second meeting between Javier Milei and Elon Musk in less than a month. On April 12, the head of state was at a Tesla vehicle brand factory in Texas, in the United States.
According to the statement issued by the Argentine government, at the time, both talked about the importance of technological development for the world and agreed to soon hold a major event in Argentina to discuss the ideas of freedom.
On Monday (6), Milei also met with the president of FIFA, the entity that governs world football, Gianni Infantino.
Milei supports efforts to take humanity to Mars
Speaking at the Milken Institute Global Conference on Monday, Milei spoke of supporting Musk's ventures.
“I cannot help but celebrate my friend's effort to set foot on Mars, because we understand that space exploration is at the height of our destiny as an exploratory species too large to be confined to this planet,” said the president.
