The general Producer Price Index in Industry in May 2022 showed a 43.0% increase in May, compared to the corresponding index in May 2021, as ELSTAT announced today.
In the corresponding comparison of the indicators of the year 2021 with 2020, there was an increase of 13.7%.
The General Index during the month of May 2022, compared to the index of April 2022, showed a decrease of 2.9% against an increase of 1.0% noted during the corresponding comparison of the indices of the year 2021.
The average General Index of the twelve months June 2021 – May 2022, compared to the average General Index of the twelve months June 2020 – May 2021, showed an increase of 28.7% against a decrease of 2.3% noted during the corresponding comparison of the previous twelve months.

The increase of the General Producer Price Index by 43.0%, in the month of May 2022, compared to the corresponding index of May 2021, is due to the changes in the indices of the individual markets, namely:
a. In increase in the Foreign Market Producer Price Index by 53.6%
