Specifically, during the period January-September 2021, arrivals and overnight stays of foreigners show an increase of 111.9% in arrivals and 119.3% in overnight stays and of locals by 5.9% and 15.8%, respectively, in relation to the data of the same period of the year 2020.
The largest share of arrivals and overnight stays in hotel-type accommodation and camping, during the period January – September 2021, is for foreigners, ie 70.2% of total arrivals and 80.6% of total overnight stays.
For the same period, the average stay per person in hotel and camping accommodation was 4.2 nights. Specifically, the average stay of foreigners was 4.8 nights, while that of locals was 2.7 nights.
Accommodation in hotel-type accommodation (excluding camping), which is calculated from the total number of nights in relation to the beds that operated, amounted to 44.1%, during the period January – September 2021, compared to 31.9% of the corresponding 2020 period.
