The number of building permits increased by 11.2% in September.
In particular, and according to the data of ELSTAT, tthe size of the Total Construction Activity (Private – Public), during the month of September 2021, in the whole country based on the issued building permits, amounted to 1,982 building permits, corresponding to 728.1 thousand m2 m2 and 3,118.9 thousand In other words, there was an increase of 11.2% in the number of building permits, an increase of 85.1% in the area and an increase of 102.3% in the volume, compared to the corresponding month of 2020.
The issued permits for Private Construction Activity, in the whole country, during the month of September 2021 amounted to 1,973 building permits, corresponding to 709.1 thousand m2 of surface and 2,963.9 thousand m3 volume, showing an increase of 11.5% in the number of building permits, an increase of 82.2% in area and an increase of 95.5% in volume, compared to the corresponding month of 2020.
The issued Public Building Activity permits during the month of September 2021, in the whole Country, amounted to 9 building permits, corresponding to 19.0 thousand m2 of surface and 155.1 thousand m3 of volume.
The percentage of participation of the Public Building Activity in the total building volume, for the month of September 2021, is 5.0%.
During the period of the last twelve months, ie from October 2020 to September 2021, the size of the Total Construction Activity (Private-Public) based on the issued building permits, in the whole Country, amounted to 22,596 building permits, corresponding to 5,879.3 thousand m2 of surface and 24,529.5 thousand m3 of volume.
Compared to the corresponding period October 2019 – September 2020, there was an increase of 17.7% in the number of building permits, an increase of 42.5% in the area and an increase of 39.3% in the volume.
During the same period, October 2020 – September 2021, the Private Construction Activity shows in the whole Country, an increase of 17.7% in the number of issued building permits, an increase of 40.7% in the area and an increase of 35.8 % in volume, compared to the corresponding period October 2019 – September 2020.
The percentage of participation of the Public Building Activity in the total building volume, for the above period, is 3.5%.
In the nine months January – September 2021, the Total Construction Activity shows, in the whole Country, an increase of 26.8% in the number of building permits, an increase of 60.5% in the area and an increase of 55.6% in the volume, in relation to with the corresponding nine months of the year 2020.
During the same period January – September 2021, the Private Construction Activity shows in the whole Country, an increase of 26.9% in the number of building permits, an increase of 59.2% in the area and an increase of 52.5% in the volume, in relation to the period January – September 2020.
