EMA vaccine chief Marco Cavaleri told the Italian newspaper Il Messaggero that “in my opinion, it is clear that there is a connection with the vaccine”. However, it is not clear what provoked such a reaction.
He said the connection would be confirmed in the coming hours by the European Medicines Agency.
