Emma Corrin, the Lady Diana of the fourth season, should be the great favorite of this next edition, set up halfway between presence and pandemic on Sunday night. The Emmys, who will come to Los Angeles assigned in person on 20 September, should crown the blonde as Best Actress in a Drama Series. But the conditional, a few hours after the ceremony, is a must, because another actress, a symbol of that drive towards inclusiveness that Hollywood has repeatedly asked for, could turn the tables.
Mj Rodriguez, the first transgender woman to be nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series, could beat Netflix’s Lady D, giving a Pose a first statuette. Perhaps, not the only one. A small uncertainty, according to the numbers collected by the bookmakers, would also concern the specular male category, where Regé-Jean Page (Bridgerton), Billy Porter (Pose) e Josh O’Connor (The Crown) got the same, and papabile nomination. The three, out of the six actors nominated for the award, would seem the only ones to have a real chance. But again, the conditional is a must. Because certainties, on the eve of the television awards, there are few (ed Anya Taylor-Joy, as explained in the gallery above, it would seem to be one of them).
