Huawei has begun rolling out the EMUI 12 beta for Huawei P40, Mate 30 and P40 Pro smartphones worldwide. This is the first version of EMUI 12 to include new features as well as significant changes to the user interface.
According to the information, the beta version of the software runs under the number EMUI 18.104.22.168 and has a large size of about 5.5 GB. The shell offers a section with multiple devices in the control panel for easier collaboration. Also announced are new fonts, neuromorphic design, smart folders, notification bar and control panel, shared security, file management across devices.
If you participated in the software beta test, go to Settings> System & Updates> Software Update> Check for Update. If an update is available, click Download and Install and follow the onscreen instructions.
The developers note that this version allows you to test the latest features, but the beta version may contain bugs. Before installing, make sure you have enough space to download and install the service pack. In addition, you need to update all system and third-party applications to the latest version before and after installation to get the EMUI 12 user interface. In addition, the phone must be at least 50% charged.
