Fifteen years after the debut of “enchanted” the Disney production won a sequel. “Disenchanted” arrived on Disney+ this Friday (18).
The plot takes place years after the events of the 1st film. Giselle and Robert are married and decide to move to a small community to live a fairy tale. However, this is not possible, since there are rules and a queen, which ends up making Giselle frustrated by not finding her “happily ever after”.
Giselle then uses Andalasia’s magic to solve her problems, but accidentally turns the city into a true fairy tale and jeopardizes her family’s happiness. Now she must race against time to reverse the spell and discover what living happily ever after means for her and her family.
The main cast returns to play their respective characters: Amy Adams as Princess Giselle, Patrick Dempsey like Robert, James Marsden as Prince Edward and Idina Menzel like Nancy.
In addition, it has new names: Maya Rudolph will be the antagonist Malvina Monroe; Yvette Nicole Brown and Jayma Mays they will give life to the Queen’s assistants; Kolton Stewart Malvina’s son lives; and finally, Gabriella Baldachinno plays Robert’s teenage daughter, Morgan.
The direction is Adam Shankman, also responsible for productions such as: “Hairspray” 🇧🇷 “A love to remember” 🇧🇷 “A story that happens” and more.

In “enchanted” , Giselle lives in the kingdom of Andalasia, but has been banished by an evil queen from her magical and musical world. With that, she will end up in present-day New York, a completely different place from where she lived. There, she is about to undergo a tremendous awakening of fairytale magnitude, as she believes that love comes in the form of a prince charming riding a white horse.
After arriving completely disoriented and scared on the bustling island of Manhattan, Giselle meets lawyer Robert, Nancy’s fiance. From the beginning, the relationship between the two is not easy, because for Robert, Giselle was just one of the many crazy people who live in New York City. However, at the insistence of his daughter Morgan, he lets the lost princess stay in her apartment and begins, between one conflict and another, to understand a little more about her.
After spending more and more time with Robert, Giselle begins to realize the complexities of the real world and the birth of a feeling for the lawyer. In addition, the then “naive” princess begins to realize that she is no longer so naive after all her learnings in this new world.
In parallel, Prince Edward leaves Andalasia towards Manhattan in search of his beloved and ends up being followed by Nathaniel, Queen Narissa’s henchman, bringing more confused characters from the magical kingdom to the bustling city of New York.
The plot mixes live-action with animated scenes.
