Web3Souls Hackathon in the Metaverse from November 28 to December 5

Web3Souls hackathon dedicated to creating projects in the direction of DeSoc will take place in the metaverse. The purpose of the event is to bring together projects, companies, investors, experts and developers.

Web3Souls hackathon program:

  • Metaverse Hackathon Opening Ceremony;

  • Conducting DeSoc and SBT meetups;

  • Organization of lectures from industry experts;

  • Holding contests with valuable prizes in the hackathon chat;

  • Organization of tours in the metaverse;

  • Hackathon final — After party in the metaverse.

Soulbound (SBT) are non-transferable tokens that represent a person’s identity using the blockchain. These may include medical records, work history, and any information relating to an individual or entity. The wallets that store or issue these records are called “souls”. Souls and SBT will allow people to build a verifiable Web3 digital reputation based on their past actions and experiences.

Vitalik Buterin, along with his supporters, published an article “Decentralized Society: In Search of the Soul of Web3” in early May. Thus, Buterin invites each person to create a crypto-wallet, which, as it were, marks this person / his soul. As a result, a person’s reputation can be judged by SBT tokens and their transaction history.

The hackathon is organized by future researchers from the Maff Ecosystem. They write articles about blockchain, create courses on NFTs, build buildings in the metaverse. They also organize hackathons that help specialists get practice in the latest areas. And the Web3Souls hackathon is one of them.

Experts from Kikimora Labs, a venture capital studio and tech center focused on incubating next-generation technology projects in Web3 and beyond, will share their vision and knowledge of DeSoc and take an active part in working with the hackathon teams. Experts from the global technology company Social Discovery Ventures and the HORADRIM CAPITAL venture fund, which actively supports teams in creating R&D concepts and developing products in the DeSoc direction, will also share their vision and knowledge with the participants.
