Eos-Ice Premium: the new laser for permanent hair removal, alternatives and advice to choose

From the Stone Age, when they were a question of survival and having them made them weaker, up to the present day when the freedom to keep them or not is synonymous with emancipation, passing through the Roman Empire in which they identified the social status (longer were and the lower the class they belonged to), the hairs have been protagonists since ancient times and not just a symbol of aesthetics.

If initially the methods of eradicating them were decidedly rudimentary – and painful – and involved the use of sharpen stones or clam shells like tweezersnow the methods for those who want to get rid of hair are much more advanced and, fortunately, even less painful.

The new frontier of laser hair removal

Permanent hair removal is one of the most sought after treatments in the world of aesthetics. It also confirms this the Agorà Aesthetic Medicine Observatory which has registered an increase in requests for laser hair removal: in women, in the age group between 18-30, it requests it 62%, while in men 43% in an age group between 30 and 40 years.

There are numerous methods for permanent hair removal on the market and every year the offer expands, reaching ever higher technological and performance levels.

The novelty of the moment is represented by Eos-Ice Premiuma laser device developed by Cosmetics Express reality in Tel Aviv that has been operating in the field of professional aesthetics for more than 10 years and which, for a couple of years, has also been present in Italy.

For the first time ever, a hair removal laser is capable of Simultaneously emit three kinds of laser waves – Nd: YAG – 1064 nm, Diode – 808 nm and Alexandrite – 755 nm – thus resulting extremely effective, suitable for all types of hair and executable at any time of the year (including summer).

How laser waves work

The first length – Nd: YAG – 1064 nm – treats the skin in a way effectivecomfortable and fast and is suitable for all skin types, the second – Diode – 808 nm – is perfect for dark hair thanks to its moderate absorption of melanin and its deep penetration, and Alexandrite – 755 nm instead, thanks to the greater absorption of melanin, it is suitable for light and fine hair.

In particular, wavelength Neodymium: YAG it acts more deeply in the dermis with a reduced dispersion of the laser light, interacting with the blood vessels that keep the bulb alive and no longer with the melanin. It is therefore particularly suitable also for tanned and dark complexions (up to phototype VI, the darkest, of the Fitzpatrick aesthetic table).

There wavelength Alexandrite (755 nm), on the other hand, uses melanin from the hair bulb as a receptor; it is therefore also excellent for lighter and thinner hairs. The only hairs that are not treatable are the white ones.

The impulses emitted by the handpiece are easily absorbed by the pigment located in the hair follicle, and do not cause any damage to the skin. The hair then becomes thermal energy and brings the follicle to a temperature that it causes the complete destruction of its structure.

The hair follicle, thus destroyed, comes removed after a natural physical processthus achieving the goal of permanent hair removal.

Painless and quick

Another distinctive element of the new Eos-Ice Premium is the cooling temperature of the handpiece with which the treatment is performed. In fact, down to -11 ° Cunlike the classic machines that reach a maximum temperature of -3 ° C.

This happens thanks to the sapphire crystal tipwhich keeps the temperature so low, making the skin feel cool in the treated area, avoiding burns and tissue damage.

The treatment is thus completely painlesseven in the most sensitive areas, such as armpits and groin, where it was normal up to now, to feel a certain discomfort, up to the sensation of burning.

The combination between the power of 3000 Watts, and the 20 pulses per second of the laser light, make then very fast execution: for a Total Body treatment, a maximum of 30-40 minutes is required.
