Erdogan advises Moscow to give Crimea back to Ukraine

In support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity, Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke at the Summit of the Leaders of the Crimean Platform, calling on Russia to return Crimea, which it has occupied since 2014, back to the country of Volodymyr Zelensky. The Turkish president argued that the return of Crimea is a requirement of International Law. “Our support for the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine is unwavering. The return of Crimea to Ukraine is a requirement of international law,” Erdogan said, underscoring Turkey’s stance against Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014.
